What the Jay Flight Bungalow Is
The Jay Flight Bungalow is a destination travel trailer built by Jayco, the long-established RV maker that is part of Thor Industries. The Bungalow shares the trusted Jay Flight name but sits at the very top of the travel-trailer category in terms of size and residential feel. At roughly 40 to 42 feet long with a 102-inch wide-body design, it is built for people who want a home-base RV they can park in a seasonal site and live in comfortably for weeks or months at a time.
Jayco Heritage
Jayco has a long reputation for building family-oriented travel trailers, and the company is known for things like its Magnum Truss roof system and a focus on livable floorplans. The Bungalow brings that heritage into a larger, more residential package. Inside you typically find a minimum eight-foot interior height, 82-inch slide rooms, residential appliances, central vacuum, and vinyl flooring throughout. The result feels much closer to a small home than to a conventional towable.
Destination Trailer, Not a Park Model
This is an important distinction. A park model is a stationary structure that is generally built to a different code and is meant to stay in one place essentially permanently, often without being road-legal to tow regularly. The Bungalow, by contrast, is an RVIA-towable destination travel trailer. It is built to be towed to a site and rarely moved, but it remains a true RV that you can relocate when you need to. That gives owners the residential comfort of a park-model feel while keeping the flexibility of a registered, towable trailer.
